Seniors – please remember to check the website for scholarships and their deadlines.  The deadline is fast approaching for the Hood Scholarships (February 1st) which is open to senior athletes with a 3.0 GPA.  There are other scholarships that will expire in February as well as new ones that have been added to the list.  If you have any questions, please stop by Guidance.

There will be an after school meeting on Tuesday, January 24th for the Student Council.  All members are encouraged to attend.                                                 (Ms. Krebs/Ms. Ziomek)

Are you ready for some football???  The Apollo Team can help to prepare you.  We are currently taking Hillside Pizza and Cookie Dough orders.  The sale is until Wednesday, January 25th.  You will be able to pick up your order – just in time for the Super Bowl – on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Frontier Middle School Entrance from 2:15 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.  The proceeds will support the Apollo trip to Gettysburg in June.  See any Apollo student to place your order. (Mrs. Wozny)

Attention Grades 10-12:  The deadline to purchase tickets to the semi-formal on Saturday,

January 28th, has been extended to lunch on Friday, January 27th.  Tickets are $ 10.00.  Remember, if you are bringing someone who is not a Frontier student in grades 10-12 you must get approval for the guest BEFORE the dance.                                                  (Mrs. Wozny)

This Wednesday, the Friends of Rachel Club will be sponsoring a massive Valentine making project for veterans.  We’re looking for students and adults to gather their supplies and drop by

Room A307 to help out with this project.  (Greenfield and Mohawk reportedly made THOUSANDS last year!)  So PLEASE join us on Wednesday, at 2:10 P.M. in Room A307.

EVERYONE is welcome!                                                          (Mrs. Doyle & Ms. Lawton)

Applications are now available in the Guidance Office for Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s Doctor For A Day Program, which will take place on Tuesday, April 10th.  The deadline for applications to be returned to your Guidance Counselor is February 15th.  This program is open to high school juniors and seniors.  To learn more about what it involves, stop by Guidance and look at the program outline.                                                                          (Mrs. Siwicki)

On February 3rd, students who are considering a career in health care, may go to Greenfield Community College for Medical Encounter Day.  This free event, sponsored by the Franklin Hampshire Regional Employment Board, will teach students about the medical setting and health care careers.  If interested, please sign up in the Guidance Office and get a permission slip.  Seats are limited, so the first sixteen students in Grades 10 or 11 to return their permission slip may attend.                                                                                                                 (Ms. Mandile)
